Fred Long & Sons Ltd are
committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy explains how we
collect personal data, how we use it and who we share it with. We are a private
limited company (company registration number 00335250) and our registered office
address is Humberstone House, 47 Englands Lane, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth,
Norfolk, NR31 6BE.
We are registered with the
Information Commissioner’s Office as a data controller, registration number
ZA269797.
We collect information
from you in the following ways, email, post, phone, in person and when you sign
a licence or lease agreement with us. The data we collect will enable us to
provide you with the product / service you have requested from us. We will hold
your name, address, landline telephone number, mobile number and email address
together with a form of photographic identification for example your driving
licence or passport.
We will use your
information in accordance with the law.
We will not use your data
for any marketing purposes and we will not share your contact details with any
third party for marketing purposes. We will, however, share your details with
our professional advisers. These include, accountants, insurance brokers,
solicitors and our insurance company together with any third party if required
to do so by law. For example, public authorities, HMRC and the insolvency
service.
The employees of Fred Long
& Sons Ltd will have access to your personal data where it is needed to carry
out a specific task relevant to the service we provide you with.
Your personal data will be
held for a period of six years to comply with our audit procedures however
photographic identification will be destroyed when you stop using the service or
product you requested from us.
CCTV.
We have installed CCTV in
all of our self storage buildings covering both internal and external areas.
This is for the purpose of building security, crime prevention / detection and
for the security of our customers possessions. Images captured will not be kept
for longer than necessary, typically 30 days, after which the information held
is overwritten. However, information may be kept for longer than this if an
incident is being investigated. Footage will only be viewed by employees of Fred
Long & Sons Ltd, our CCTV maintenance company and if required the police.
